Imagine being able to make your own springs for your designs….
Introducing the Spring Coiling Machine
The idea of this design is to be able to make a spring exactly to what your application requires. Currently, the machine caters for springs:
• 7 to 11mm Spring Diameters
• 0.5mm to 1.25mm Wire Diameters (1.00mm+ not recommended for 6mm, 7mm mandrels)
• 2mm, 3mm and 4mm Spring Pitches
• 50mm Spring Length
How it works:
The Spring Coiling Machine has 2 important parts, the Mandrel and the Lead Screw. The Mandrel determines the spring diameter. The Lead Screw determines spring pitch. Before coiling, make sure you have the correct mandrel, lead screw and wire guide chosen.
Line up the wire guide hole with the hole in the mandrel and feed the spring wire through, just enough that it can be seen on the other side of the mandrel. Turn the handle in the direction indicated on the part until you coiled the spring to the correct length. Make sure that the mandrel is pressed agains
