Spring.stl shows a basic design for a spring. It is designed as follows:
1) Create a sketch with a single zig-zag
2) Revolve that sketch around an axis
3) Create a linear pattern with that ring
The remaining files show how to make a detent mechanism. One interesting thing is that the spring and ball of a ball detent can be printed as a single part.
