Borne out of necessity here you find my approach to a stackable 3D scanmarker in the shape of a dodecahedron.

I had to scan a part of my car and did not want to waste a lot of adhesive markers on that job. These markers have a foot, reducing the footprint on the part under scan. The foot is equipped with small 8x2 mm magnets which will hold them onto any ferromagnetic surface. I used an 8.1 mm drill to clean the hole and glued the magnets in with epoxy.

They also have a pocket on top that is sized to fit an M5 DIN 125-1A washer and the foot of another marker. Glue a washer in and stack them to your harts content, although three may be the maximum because of the small magnet.

The reflective dots are 10 mm OD. You will need 10 dots per marker if you want to populate all sides.

Make sure that the glue does not cover the outer side of the magnet or washer. That would make the fit quite wobbly.
There may be other similar designs on here but I did not find them quick enough.
