Stackable Light Tower.
This is a simple design for a Light Tower.
The Lenses for this Light Tower are stack-able so you can use one
layer and a three color LED or two layers with separate LED's or three layers with three different LED's.
I'm prototyping a radiation monitoring system using a SparkFun Geiger counter, an arduino Uno, a solenoid to lock a swing gate and a Light tower to signal "Safe to Pass" or "Hold while your shoes melt".
I may use a MicroView for text output or an LCD for messaging for mR/Min etc...
You can put a piece of aluminum foil on the upper and lower surface of the separators for a reflelective surface.
Instructions on how I made the Lens part are given in the image sequence above.
You can use Clear ABS from Octave, for the lenses but I printed the lenses on a Form1+ using clear resin V2 and the other parts on an UP!3D.
The electronics are up to you but ultra-bright LEDs work geat and are controlled from the
Arduino
