StoneGrasp

I made this 3D model to show the spell Grasp of Stone. It’s a mage spell pulling the ground up and shaping jagged rocks and slabs together, reaching up like it’s about to grab whoever steps on it or to directly grab someone.

From the top it just looks like a pile of rocks. I didn’t want it to look like a perfect carved hand with a texture slapped on with cracks. I wanted it to feel like chunks of rock got yanked out of the ground and jammed together into the shape of a hand.

I created this model with ZBrush and other digital sculpting tools.
