Transporting and storing T-TRAK modules can be problematic. I've seen a number of solutions from bolt on end caps, expanded foam boxes and wooden crates. I recently saw a regular poster in the T-TRAK forum on Facebook post a photo of his solution that utilized a commercially available 27 gallon plastic tote/bin with a snap on lid. These totes are strong, durable and comparatively lightweight and come in a size that can accommodate a pair of doubles or four singles or combination thereof. His solution used permanently mounted wood blocks and a plywood platform. It is a good solution, but I think there could be room for improvement.
One day, while packing some Star Trek figures away in some tubs I had found at Sam's Club to haul to the storage locker, I noticed how nicely the tubs nested together and that the structural V-shaped ribbing on the sides was comparatively deep and squared off. This got the gray matter going. Why not create an insert that would wedge into the "V" shaped slots
