Tangential Flow Filter

This is a simple design for a tangential flow filtration unit. Lab scale systems use cartridges which are $100+. This design uses a coffee filter sandwiched between two plates. If I were better at design, I would have made the fitting holes threaded, instead I used silicone to make them water tight.

Here is a description of TFF, https://www.pall.com/en/laboratory/tangential-flow-filtration.html. This is a great way to filter out alcohol used to wash prints. Just expose it to UV to turn it cloudy, then pump it through the filter several times.

I used a simple 12VDC pump that you would use for a computer cooler.

12/31/2022 -- I added three files to help out with leaks. I redesigned the top and bottom and added a gasket which I printed out of TPU.
