Thorns1

I developed the idea for this design when I passed by a hedge of white rose bushes. I noticed the thorns on the bushes and thought it might be possible to add thorn shape protrusions to a smooth surface, and yet allow it to be picked and handled without being poked. It took a while to get the curvature of the thorn shape correct, and this is the final result. It can be handled with no problem. FYI there are a total of 459 thorns on this piece. It printed in a little over 14 1/4 hours using a layer height of 0.200 mm and a print speed of 100 mm/sec.
