TIE Interceptor

TIE/in interceptor or TIE ad x5 is the successor of TIE Advanced with a cheaper price.

TIE Interceptor is the next-gen fighter and was planned to replace all TIE fighter in every fleet. But this ship was produced not long after the battle of Hoth and can replace by only 40% of the entire imperial navy at the time of the Battle of Endor.

After the emperor's death, TIE interceptor is still be used but no further development. The empire still uses this model alongside TIE fighters instead of replacing it.
