This is a casing for a DIY music box built following a design by Thorsten Voss https://discourse.voss.earth/ - Site in German. It plays MP3 files stored on a micro SD card and selected by self programmable MiFare RFID cards.

This derivative of his original design features touchless operation (reed switches for next/previous/pause and a mercury tilt switch for on//off.
