I decided to convert my 'ol RC Nitro Stampede Truck to electric.
I will miss the sound and smells of Nitro, but the Stampede is absolutely a monster after this e-conversion. I've not seen this truck pop a wheelie while already moving at ~20 MPH.
For the pinion size, I calculated based on my nitro's setup. For example, my Nitro engine was rated 28000 RPM and had a 22T, so calculating based on this ratio...
for 2S:
8.4v * 4000KV = 33600 RPM
( 28000 / 33600 ) * 22T = 18 T
for 3:
11.1v * 4000KV = 44400 RPM
( 28000 / 44400 ) * 22T = 14T
Since I only have 3S batteries, I decided to use the 14T and it has been working great. I still need to measure the temps over a long run, but my quick measurements saw 140F-155F.

- 5Pcs 32DP 5mm 13T 14T 15T 16T 17T Motor Pinion Gear Combo
