Tricopter 250 Class

This is a 250 class Tricopter. It uses a custom Multiwii board with an atmega328 as a processor. The arms can fold back for easy transportation, as well as crash protection. The arms will fold back instead of breaking. The yaw hinge uses four bearing to ensure smooth operation, and is very strong. There is a mount for a Mobius camera to be zip tied to the top for aerial photography; I have not tried FPV with it yet.The ESCs are Turnigy 12 amp, and get zip tied to the sides, where there are indents in the body plates. I used all M3 nylon screws to save weight, however metal screws were required for the arm hinges. It should still fly with all metal screws. This was designed so that the pieces that attach the body plates to the board and camera plates could be partially a soft material such as Ninjaflex for vibration dampening, but I have not found it to be necessary. I use plastic 5030 props, but 6in props should fit on the front. The rear arm will need to be s little longer for 6in pro
