No assembly required. All parts print together with no supports. This ring box unfolds by twisting the base relative to the main body. It may take some force to twist the base free of the main body. Gently work the petals as you open the box for the first time to make sure all the connections between parts are broken. I found a spray of WD-40 into the threads to be helpful in making opening and closing smooth.
