Turtle Art

My nephew snapped a beautiful pic of a sea turtle recently and I thought I would make a wire-frame art piece out of it. I have attached both the picture and the wire frame art.

Sea turtles already have strong lines. I copied the picture into sketchbook and drew heavy black lines over existing lines on the turtle, modified the fins and head because the lines are too small for the art work, and then used the eraser function to eliminate everything but the lines. I copied it into matter-control and converted to an Stl file. I have also made some stencils that I will post in my sea-life stencil collection you can find here:
