Unistrut is cheap and can be easily sourced. I put this together out of lockdown boredom and its still a work in progress. Its designed for 41mm x 41mm unistrut which can be any length and the adaptors just slot on each end.
The pulley end uses 2 x 22mm with 7mm centre roller skate bearing and the dolly uses 8 to 12 of the same.
Currently the only spare stepper i have to hand is a Sanyo Denki Type 103H7123-0140 so it's designed for that. Added NEMA 17 version
The belt is going to be setup to be tensioned on the dolly.
