US BOX

A project to transform one of my old windsurf boards into a wing foil board led me to design a US box to reproduce a US double rail assembly compatible with current foil bases.

The reproduction of this double US rail requires the printing of 4 cases, each case is designed in two assemblable parts (one top and one bottom). This assembly offers a travel of 14 cm to move the foil forward or backward

I designed and tested two types of top and two types of bottom of case
A fully recessed top and a wide surface-mounted top
A low-height bottom (1cm) and a high-height bottom (6cm)

The PETG Carbon printed box were fixed to the board and sealed with epoxy resin or expansive epoxy resin, it's up to you to see the combination of top and bottom that suits you.
