Utility Blade

I use this model when designing things that incorporate utility blades. I measured the dimensions of a standard utility blade and used those measurement to create this model.

If you are using it as a "stand in" object when designing your 3d model be sure to give it about 50 to 100 microns clearance on all sides if you plan on printing with ABS. In my first attempts I subtracted this model from my object to create the inlay. I forgot to account for shrinkage. It didn't work out so well and I ended up cutting myself while trying to force the blade into place. (Learning things the hard way is my M.O.)
