V6 Engine

A V6 engine is a V-shaped engine with six cylinders positioned on the crankshaft in two banks of three, commonly at a 60 or 90 degree angle to one another. The V6 engine is one of the most compact engine types, with displacement typically ranging from 2.0 L to 4.3 L (though many bigger examples have been created for usage in vehicles), being shorter than the inline 4 and more compact than the V8 engine. The V6 fits nicely with the popular transverse engine front-wheel drive arrangement due to its compact length.
