Visual Thickness Guide - SAE

I use this as a reference when designing an object to better visualize the thickness. The numbers on each step represent the thickness of that step.

Note that the numbers are 1/8 (.125) inch higher than the the thickness it represents. The .375 block is .375 inch thick, but if you add in the numbering it is .5 inch thick total.
