Commandos are the real edge of the blade making up the Ascendancy’s armed forces. When a promising Security Force unit survives a battle and impresses their lord they are withdrawn to hidden training centers. Veteran officers push these recruits hard in unforgiving conditions to master their top of the line equipment weeding out those who break. Paired with this forceful approach is a regimen of brainwashing propaganda until recruits are convinced beyond reason of their cause. This training not only breeds unit coherency but a fierce loyalty to the House and a racist and bloodthirsty hatred for their enemies. Once graduated these units are dispatched as some noble’s bodyguards, elite shock troops, and hit and run teams never to be wasted on mere occupation duty. Many movements and assaults have been cut down in their infancy by Commando lightning assaults.
