VR Cable Support System

This setup gives support for a 2m x 3m area with the PC on the short side. A strong string/cable is held between the two bases at either end of the play area in the long direction. The headset cable is supported on retracting cables, with two on the end pulley to allow for extra reach. Strong anchors are needed or a screw directly into a stud, there is a lot of force on the cable bases.

6mm airsoft BBs are used in the pulleys that hang from the cable.

The inner race halves press together after the BBs have been inserted, pressing them too hard will pinch the balls and cause them not to roll freely. Printed on a Qidi Q1 with 0.12mm layer height the fit is very tight, a clamp/press/careful hammer will need to be used.
