Waves

This started as a 3d modeling project in 360. Then it became a print settings experiment. Then it became an assembly and finishing experiment to try and get it as smooth as possible. I have worked on this for about 8 weeks in total at this point. Boost MeIf you think that's worth a boost. DO IT PLEASE. thx. After gluing the pieces together I applied a layer of wood filler. I sanded that smooth and then began with high build primer (sanding between coats). Then I moved to regular primer (sanding with 220 between coats). once I was happy with that I sanded to 320 then applied gloss black, then rustoleum chrome, rubbed with 000 steel wool, one more coat of chrome (allowing it to dry for a full week after) and then a gloss clear coat. It's glued to a piece of hard board and framed in a solid oak frame painted black and finished with a matte clear coat.
