This was made for the University of Aberdeen as wind-turbine lab apparatus. Note: .mdl files were generated using Moray, and exported to OpenSCAD for compilation using the plugin which I have included in the attached files.

The idea is that a group of students can make wind-turbine blades attached to a hub which slots onto the lego shaft, and direct a desk-fan at it. Assuming the turbine design works, it will cause the 30:1 gearbox to rotate, rotating the bobbin at the rear end of the test rig, winching up a mass of up to one kilo (tested). The time it takes to winch up the weight a given height indicates the 'power' of the turbine. Potential energy = mgh (joules I believe, but I'm rusty!), thus the height gained in 1 second can be converted to joules per second, which is Watts.

This design is intended to have some parts printed in PLA, and other parts in ABS. It is also intended to have some parts printed with a 0.2 mm nozzle, and other parts with a 0.4 mm nozzle! Each file has
