Extended my skill/knowledge of Fusion 360 to create a minimal X-Carriage from scratch. There are lots out there but not that I created, from scratch in F3D.
Carriage is designed with specific nut orientation in mind. The 4 M3 nuts need to be inserted with the pointed edge protruding and the flat edges // to the sides of the hole. See the colour screen shots for clarification. If you install them incorrectly, they may simply spin when you are trying to tighten the cable clamps. Use 20mm M3 bolts to secure the cable clamps.
Designed for use with LM10LUU Linear bearing
One of the 4 very small locating lugs for the linear bearings is missing, one side only has 1. Not sure why it disappears, although I do know where in the timeline it vanishes. Doesn't seem to have any advers affect.
**Jan 13**
Reduced weight by removing central area, see X-Carriage-zipties-V1a
**Feb 11**
Added X-Carriage with screw cutouts for those that use optical sensors as endstops
Extended the width
