I made this bracket to mount my Yi Action Camera on the ADEM Headrest on my Bacchetta recumbent bicycle. My camera is in an aluminum case with GoPro mounting tabs, so this should work for GoPro cameras too.
All the "off the shelf" brackets I could find interfered with my tail light.
This mounts the camera upside down, so you'll want to adjust your camera's settings to flip the video. I tried mounting things the other way, but the camera would either hit my helmet or slowly pifot down, no matter how tight I made it. Mounting from below is inherrently more stable.
Mounting holes are 40mm apart, and slotted to make fitting it easy. Use M5 or #10 hardware for mounting.
I added an M5 nylon insert locknut to the recess and used a screw from another mount for tightening the camera to the bracket.
