The Marginalia are beings that exist where reality loses certainty. They are not children, demons, spirits, or mutants, though they resemble all of them in different ways. Scholars claim they first appeared wherever the world had suffered too much violence to remain whole. Priests insist they are fragments of souls that slipped between divine judgment and damnation. Alchemists argue they are mistakes left behind when creation itself was wounded. None have ever proved their theories, for every Marginalia seems to contradict the last. No two of them are alike.
