Aruco Marker Hat Clip

An aruco marker paired with Opentrack is a great way to get into head tracking for all sorts of simulators. I use this clip to mount an aruco marker to a baseball cap so I can look around hands free in DCS, IL-2, and Falcon BMS.
The clip itself has a square surface that is 90x90mm angled back 30 degrees so that the clip is always at an angle to the camera. When I was making my setup I actually printed an aruco marker that was 80x80mm with a 20mm border all around (so 120mm across) and just glued it onto a piece of cardboard which I then taped/glued onto the clip. It's important to have a good sized white border around the aruco marker, at least 1-2cm, and larger markers should give better performance as well.
