DIY USB Plug

Im making USB powered lamps on the cheap, and the cost of USB connectors can be bypassed with this and a few paperclips for the terminals. Use a pair of needle nosed pliers and a lighter to heat and manipulate the paperclips into place inside the PLA. Crimp the backs of your paperclips into your wire/optionally add solder.

Scale down slightly or file if its a tight fit.
