Door Stop

Hi! I designed a door catch / door stop in order to prevent our door to be flinged in to a mirror on the adjacent wall. The model is designed to slow down the door only, not to make it come to a full stop. Details: The Door stop is designed with stiffness in mind, as an engineer i do know a few things. The housing itself is made of a self locating and interlocking mechanism to ensure that the door stop knob can travel and to stay on properly. This model is made complete with 2x of 20x7mm springs, longer springs will also work, to a certain extent however. The springs are glued with hot glue to the base of the door stop interior. I printed this with PETG Translucent, but the prototypes were in PLA basic, and worked also just fine! This model requires supports, i've done all you need to in the settings so just print and enjoy!
