After finding no good mounts for my vehicle, I created my own.
After creating a minimalist PopSocket interface that I liked, I made a minimalist arm and attachment for my Escape.
The arm extends sideways at a 30 degree angle from the base that anchors to the face of my console. To minimize the alterations to the console, I set to heat-set thread inserts into the console for 3mm screws. The console faceplate was thin, so I glued a PLA block to the back of the faceplate to set the inserts.
