It's pretty unlikely that moving a cabinet around that a Raspberry Pi is mounted into would cause any heatsinks dislodge or microSD cards to fall out, but this vibration mount has some additional advantages, such as raising the RPi far enough above the surface to help my fat fingers reach the tab on the ethernet cable to be able to disconnect it, and make it easier to grasp the microSD card. It's also good for airflow.

Obviously, all but the anti-vibration effect can be had by using the easily-available white L-shaped PCB mounts. Where's the fun in that?

I only have the RPi model 3b, so I haven't tested it with any other versions.

Screws used in the photo are: #4x3/8" pan head sheet metal screw x4 to attach the board to the shock mount, and #6x1/2" pan head sheet metal screws x4 to attach the shock mount to a cabinet.
