ROUTER COPING SLED This model is a coping sled for use on your router table. It excels at holding parts and is a must when routing rails and styles for panel door assemblies. I was looking at purchasing one but they are priced at over 100$. I designed one that can be made for a fraction of this price. The router sled features: An adjustable stand-off bar (to vary the distance between the sled and router fence); Twin lock down clamps; A lock bar to ensure the workpiece does not move; Large ergonomic handles for securely gripping and guiding the sled. The model is offered for both metric and imperial hardware. Lengths of bolts and screws are approximates and do not require to be exact. For imperial hardware you will need: 4x 1-4 20 nuts (for the lock knobs and the offset bar) 2x 1-4 20 x 1 inch bolt (for the lock knobs for the offset bar) 2x 1-4 20 x 1.25 inch bolt (for the main body and lock bar) 2x 5-16 18 x 2.5 inch bolt FULLY THREADED (for the lock down clamp) 2x 5-16 18 nuts (for the lock down clamp) 8x no.8 x 1 inch wood screws (for the lock down bars and secure the sacrificial wood piece) 1x no.8 x 1.5 inch wood screw (for the vertical handle) 2x 7/8 washers (for the lock bar) Glue for the horizontal handle For the metric hardware 4x M6 nuts (for the lock knobs and the offset bar) 2x M6 x 25mm bolt (for the lock knobs for the offset bar) 2x M6 x 35mm bolt (for the main body and lock bar) 2x M8 x 65-70 mm bolt FULLY THREADED (for the lock down clamp) 2x M8 nuts (for the lock down clamp) 8x 4mm x 25mm wood screws (for the lock down bars and secure the sacrificial wood piece) 1x 4mm x 35 mm wood screw (for the vertical handle) 2x 22mm or larger washer (for the lock bar) Glue for the horizontal handle ASSEMBLY A gif assembly is included with the photos and a zip file with photos is also included. 3d printing The parts are easy to print and very little support is required. 3D PRINTING PRINT SETTINGS IMPORTANT I upload a print setting files for all my models.
